The relationship we have with ourselves determines the relationship we have with others and the world. Having a harsh and critical attitude to ourselves is detrimental to personal growth and happiness. Instead cultivate an attitude of compassion and self acceptance towards yourself – “warts and all”. Do not reject yourself for your perceived facts and failings – we all have them! Instead view them with understanding. When we accept ourselves just as we are something wonderful happens. We drop our judgements. We become a true friend to ourselves and others. Life becomes immeasurably easier.
